Tyler Baker reviews a live resin vape cartridge from Lighthouse Sciences, a medical marijuana processor in Eastlake, Ohio. Here’s a little more about the product and what Tyler thought:

About Lighthouse Sciences
As a processor in Eastlake, Ohio, Lighthouse Sciences has grabbed my attention since entering the market about a year ago. They work with various cultivators such as Farkas Farms to process the flower they produce. Some products Lighthouse Sciences are currently putting out are live and cured extracts, infused honey, as well as an oral spray, topicals, and premium vapes. They are also working with white label brands to bring more options to the state.
Personally, my favorite products from them are the extracts! They offer a variety of concentrates ranging from live/cured badder to THCA and sauce, as well as a concentrate labeled as honeycomb.
In a close second though is the live resin vapes that are some of the best in the state. Here’s a little more about the Rainbow Reserve Live Resin Vape I picked up recently:
Strain: Rainbow Reserve
Processor: Lighthouse Sciences
Cultivator: Farkas Farms
Lineage: Rainbow Chip X Strawberries and Cream
Indica/Sativa: 50/50 Hybrid
Dispensary: Body and Mind in Elyria, Ohio
Price: $90 Plus tax with 30% discount

First Impressions
Originally when I went to the dispensary to pick up my products, I had pre-ordered a MAC V2 live resin disposable. Once I arrived at the dispensary, I realized that a 30% discount was being offered. I decided to switch up my vape for a 3 pack of half gram Rainbow Reserve Live Resin 510 vapes. I had previously only used the disposables, but I was happy to see the 510 now available as an option.
“Once this thing got going it was fantastic— giving me smooth hits with a wonderful sweetness, followed by a creamy flavor during the exhale.”

When first examining the cartridge, I was pleased to see covers for the mouthpiece and base of the vape. The color of the oil was visually satisfying revealing a yellow/golden tint. Taking my first few hits I always try to get small, short puffs to wake up my palate. Once this thing got going it was fantastic— giving me smooth hits with a wonderful sweetness, followed by a creamy flavor during the exhale.

Vape + “High-Lighter” Battery Worked Well
To vaporize this cartridge, I used the “High-Lighter” battery that I previously had from the “dialed.” vapes. It helps so much with cleanliness and keeping the vape upright to prevent any malfunctioning.
The effects kicked in extremely fast with some amazing euphoria that sent me to the sky! Shortly after I reached a great tingling feeling that spread throughout my upper body. I was also able to relieve some discomfort in the back of my neck. Overall, the effects lasted about an hour. I was able to stay focused and motivated, but as usual too many hits of this vape and I wanted to just chill out.

Packaging and Label
This three pack came in a box with a slide out mechanism and kept each 510 cartridge in its own individual slot. Very sturdy with some great artwork, along with the words Full Spectrum High Terpene Diamond Vape. The label on the back of the box states that this product was extracted from N-Butane which is preferred for most solvent extractions because of its purity. A lot of companies use isobutane, propane, or even combine multiple solvents. I try to stay away from these kinds of extracts most of the time because it seems to make the ending product not as favorable as something that was extracted using N-Butane.
Cannabinoids and Terpenes
On the box it gives the total amount of cannabinoids within all 3 of the vapes. With a total of 1,061.62mg of THC equals out to 353.87mg total THC for each. This makes it around 71% THC. Some other cannabinoids that are present are CBG and CBC. Each in small amounts that equal out to less than 1% each.
Terpenes are a very interesting profile with Caryophyllene leading the way with 1.47% total. Limonene, Myrcene, Humulene, Linalool, along with some others boost up the total terpene content to just over 7.5%.

Final Thoughts
I have started to try more and more Lighthouse products and for the most part I have been pleased. They seem to care a lot about the end quality of their products. Considering they have only been doing business for about a year, I really sense they are making some noise with the patients of the state.
If you are in a dispensary and see a sale for them, be sure to stop and talk to the Lighthouse Sciences reps (and get some awesome swag)!
