This week, MedicateOH reviewer Tyler Baker decided on a Klutch Cannabis strain called Big Head. Want to know what he thought? Check it out:

Strain: Big Head

Cultivator: Klutch Cannabis

Breeder: Tahoe Nugs and Ogloudest (collaboration)

Lineage: Heatlocker X Sherbhead

About Big Head

This strain hit the Ohio market in 2021 with a few others from Klutch named Budino and Heatlocker. These are all part of the Klutch Select brand. All three of these strains were bred by the same two breeders known in the cannabis world as Tahoe Nugz and Ogloudest. Klutch has multiple sources they get their genetics from, but they always have the top world-renowned genetics in their lineup. Read more about Klutch here.

First Impressions

This flower came in a glass jar, like most Klutch products. The nugs were frosty, dense, and fat. The jar included a flavor seal that really helped maintain the strain’s attributes. The label had details I like to see, including a QR code for test results. Buds like this I really enjoy breaking down because of the smell and stickiness it leaves on my fingers. With the addition of some dark green colors and purple hues, this bud looked amazing.

Aromas, Tastes, Effects

Some gassy aromas leaped out of the jar when I cracked the seal. I sometimes like to cup a nug into my hand when I first smell it, and there was some lovely citrus that accompanied the gas. Once I broke down the bud in my grinder, some serious citrus notes took over.

I packed up my Mighty+ and immediately tasted sweet gassy flavors during the inhale. This really stimulated my palate. The exhale gave me a lovely citrus flavor as well as left a faded sweet aftertaste. The effects are what won me over with this strain when I first tried it. This batch was no different, always leaving me with a beautiful uplifting euphoria with some nice tingles all over. Heavier body relief set in after I was finished consuming, and it left me relaxed to the fullest.

Terpenes and Cannabinoids

The terpene numbers in this batch confirmed everything I tasted. From when I first started consuming it, I could smell a very dank, flavored bud reminiscent of that “good weed” flavor I know. The top terpene is limonene in this batch and that is good for those uplifting effects I like. This always helps me have a positive outlook on anything I am doing.

The other dominant terpenes in this batch are linalool as well as caryophyllene, both of which can help with relaxation. The cannabinoids on this batch tested high in THC around 27 percent with some traces of CBG in the profile as well. Final Thoughts

I absolutely continue to love this strain more and more! When I see Big Head by Klutch on the menu, I always consider it one of the products I may end up going home with. I found it to be a great early evening high that will eventually give you some relaxation (and that would likely make most novice users sedated). The start of the high is what makes it so enjoyable for me. I love having euphoric feelings early in my day, or if I am going to be out and about doing things. This always puts me into a good mood.

Glad to have access to this great strain!
