Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhood is getting something brand new. On Friday, August 29, Trulieve will open the doors of its newest licensed Ohio cannabis dispensary at 3528 Columbia Parkway, inviting both medical patients and adult-use consumers to celebrate with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 7:45 a.m.
Beginning a New Chapter
For Trulieve, one of the nation’s largest cannabis providers, this marks its seventh Ohio location—but for Columbia-Tusculum, it’s the beginning of a new chapter. The space was formerly a SimpTech electronics store, but after a full renovation, it now offers a welcoming environment where the community can learn, shop, and explore medical cannabis.
“We are excited to provide this community with more convenient access to the products and education they need to inform their medical cannabis wellness journey,” said Mac Amin, Trulieve’s representative for the new Cincinnati store.
A Local Spot with Room to Grow
Columbia Parkway is a lively corridor, connecting locals and visitors to the riverfront’s many restaurants and bars. Now, it will also serve as a gateway to cannabis care.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide ample parking in front of the store with additional parking behind the dispensary,” Amin explained. “And soon, customers will even be able to use an express drive-thru for online orders. First-time visitors will still come inside to set up a profile, but after that, pickup will be as simple as a quick stop through the lane.”

The lobby may be modest in size, but it’s designed with comfort in mind. Staff members—known for their friendliness and product knowledge—work hard to keep wait times short. Trulieve also makes it a point to prioritize medical patients, while still ensuring that every customer receives the same high level of service.
Educational resources are available for those who want to dig deeper into the science of cannabis. “We encourage all customers to ask as many questions as they like and to review Certificates of Analysis for any products they’re interested to know more about,” Amin said.

Trulieve offers a 30 percent discount for veterans and indigent patients, with proof of eligibility. Veterans may receive discounts as medical or recreational customers, while indigent discounts apply only to patients.
Shoppers can also join the Trulieve Rewards program to earn points toward accessories and devices, while future education days, promotions, and giveaways are already being planned. Purchases can be made with cash, debit, Pay By Bank, or CanPay.
