MedicateOH and Midwest CannaWomen present The Canna Career Fair and Mix & Mingle on Wednesday, July 19th at The Kee in Columbus, Ohio, for job seekers looking to enter Ohio’s Cannabis industry. As Ohio expands their Medical Cannabis Program, the two organizations offer this free event to connect passionate participants, students, and advocates with Ohio Licensed Operators who are hiring.

The Canna Career Fair

The Canna Career Fair event comes as the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program adds 70 Dispensaries across the state this year. Qualified employees will be needed for these roles, which include Patient Care Specialists (budtenders), inventory, marketing, management and more. In addition to Dispensaries, the Ohio Medical Cannabis industry has seen explosive growth in Cultivating, Processing, and Ancillary companies. Many positions need to be filled across the industry, from Harvest Technicians and Packers to Security, Compliance, and Brand Ambassadors. The Canna Career Fair is Approved by both the Board of Pharmacy and the Department of Commerce.

The two organizations are coming together to assist the industry in hiring all qualified applicants. Celebrating its 5th Year Anniversary on 8/19/23 in Cleveland, the small business, Midwest CannaWomen creates and coordinates State Approved industry/community projects to advocate for diversity and inclusivity for everyone in the Cannabis space. The non-profit MedicateOH, founded in 2019, supports the Ohio Cannabis industry with journalism, advocacy, and events.

The Canna Career Fair will connect the state’s Licensed Cannabis operators with participants, area students, recent graduates and experienced workers looking to make career changes. Industry experts will be on hand to help you navigate this new potential career path. The event is FREE but advance registration is required.
