As an Ohio non-profit project, MedicateOH staff and volunteers work with businesses and patients to help better understand cannabis as medicine and tell empowering stories regarding the medical marijuana program. Here are some ways to get involved with our organization this winter:
MedicateOH Patient Education Day at The Citizen by Klutch Sat., Feb 11th 12-6 p.m.
Our esteemed partners at Klutch Cannabis have recently opened their new dispensary location, “The Citizen by Klutch” in Lorain, Ohio. Please join the MedicateOH team for a day at the dispensary on Saturday, February 11th from 12 pm-6 pm. We’ll be in the lobby to answer questions for patients about the journalism and advocacy work we do, about our experiences as medical marijuana patients in Ohio, and how patients can access our free online resources and events.
The Citizen by Klutch at 5152 Grove Avenue in Lorain, Ohio is a fun, modern, and exciting spin on the Ohio dispensary expectation! The Citizen brings a large open space for patients to walk around and check out products. With Ohio’s first pre-order Drive-thru services, patients now have more accessibility to get the medication they need. Inside, kiosks with touch screens and interactive displays really set this dispensary apart from the rest.
On Saturday, we hope patients will come out and meet The Citizen by Klutch staff as well as MedicateOH’s team of writers and advocates. MedicateOH will have some swag to give away as well!
This event will give patients the opportunity to ask questions, network and learn more about this innovative space.
Patients will also be able to get a glance at the products and medicines Klutch, Kiva, and The Citizen are bringing to Ohio patients.
We are very excited and looking forward to seeing you all there!

Meet MedicateOH: Saturday February 11th 12pm-6pm
MedicateOH’s Cuyahoga Falls Potluck
MedicateOH invites the local community to join us in Cuyahoga Falls for an afternoon of connection & culture. This will be a rare opportunity to meet one-on-one with educators and industry experts who work with and advocate for the use of cannabis and plant medicines. The event will be free to attend.
Participants can expect speaker panels about working in Ohio’s legal cannabis industry, being a patient in the medical marijuana program, and what the near future may hold for expanded access to Ohioans. Additionally we plan to have both canna-themed astrology & hypnotherapy.
All ages welcome; we warn that content may contain controversial themes. Food, soft drinks, and additional items will be available for purchase. No alcohol will be served at this event. Only legally-operating cannabis vendors permitted per Ohio laws.
