Veterans and new medical marijuana cardholders get a free gift
Cincinnati, Ohio (June 18, 2021)—Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) continues to grow quickly, with 21,429 new patients added from February to April of this year. Patient numbers have skyrocketed to nearly 200,000 Ohioans who now hold a medical marijuana card. An increase of patient interest in the program demands an increase of cannabis education and resources.
Ohio-based Medicate OH collaborates with businesses within the community to do this important cannabis education across the state. MedicateOH operates as a Community Impact Project of In(form)ed/Community Shares of Mid Ohio, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. MedicateOH was formed to help close the knowledge gap between patients and their legal rights, patient and doctors, and patient and dispensaries, through Ohio-focused medical journalism, advocacy, social media outreach, and community events.
6/27 PTSD Awareness Day Event: Free Gift for Veterans, New Patients
MedicateOH is organizing several cannabis education pop-up events across Ohio this summer. The first will be at Ohio CBD Guy on Sunday, June 27, 2021 and will be a PTSD Awareness Day Event.
Ohio CBD Guy is located at 2817 Woodburn Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206. The main purpose of this event, which will be held from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., is to provide patients the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about their options with regards to legal Ohio cannabis products. While shopping an array of CBD products in store, Ohio MMJ patients and cannabis-curious Ohioans can also inquire about how to obtain a MMJ card in Ohio, get advice on what products are working for other patients, and more. Hosting the event will be MedicateOH’s founder, @gvdv929 Gabrielle Dion Visca, an Ohio medical marijuana cardholder who’s been able to release her addiction to opiates through opting for cannabis to treat her pain after multiple back surgeries. Editor in Chief @alexperry and staff writers @lea-moore, @heaven-yoxtheimer and @mamameg923 will also be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences as medical marijuana patients.
Medical Cannabis Cards On Site
Any qualified patient who desires to get their medical marijuana card can begin the process on site, courtesy of DocMJ Ohio. All new patients who sign up will receive a free gift. All U.S.Armed Services veterans who attend will receive a free gift as well. Ohio CBD guy samples will be on hand to try.
This free event will take place at the Ohio CBD Guy’s Woodburn Avenue location from 2 to 5 p.m. RSVP is not required, but appreciated.
MedicateOH will also hold an after-party across the street at Woodburn Brewing from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Steve & Donna Bing and Friends. Come have a drink, learn more about the organization, and network amongst the growing Cincinnati and Ohio cannabis community!
