About Klutch Cannabis

Klutch Cannabis originally started out as Calyx Peak of Ohio. They gained independence from the west coast company in 2020 and rebranded to the current Klutch Cannabis product line. Kltuch offers rare and exotic genetics from multiple sources and some of the strains they offer have won awards in other parts of the world. They offer a large range of products—from flower to concentrates, vapes, and Kiva brand edibles.  Learn more about Klutch Cannabis’s background, strain selections, and future plans here.

First Impressions

While other cuts of MAC exist, Klutch’s is noteworthy as being hand selected by the strain’s breeder, Capulator, who reportedly only gifts the strain to those who are worthy of growing it.

The Mac strain was always attractive to me because of the (un-abbreviated) name “Miracle Alien Cookies”. It just sounds like something amazing that most would love to try! I think it’s my new favorite cookie strain.

This flower came in a glass jar with a black childproof lid. The labeling included a QR code for easy access to the test results. When I opened the jar, I discovered an extra seal to help preserve the smells of the flower. I wish more companies did this as I think it can really kept extend the life of the product. When the seal came off, I was greeted with some wonderful sugar cookie aromas that kept me coming back for more!

Visuals, Tastes, Effects

I found myself gazing at this beautiful flower for a few minutes on my camera while trying to get a good picture. The trichome (frost) production on this batch was amazing to look at. The colors all come together perfectly mixing green, orange, purple, and white. Before my first session I made sure my Mighty+ was fully cleaned because with the aromas I smelled this was something I knew I was really going to like tasting. The first inhale was a mouthwatering sweetness that had a subtle creamy undertone. Upon exhaling, a sweet pine left my mouth with a refreshing aftertaste. The effects kicked in fast and lasted a fair amount of time! Full body hybrid that can easily get someone medicated with a small amount of use. You can use this during the day, but overuse will bring on some relaxation that could demotivate a beginner.

Final Thoughts

Klutch has been a very consistent cultivator. I think a lot of patients in the state of Ohio would agree that they do a good job of bringing a variety of medicine to the dispensaries. MAC 1 is a strain that isn’t as readily available as other Klutch strains, but it seems to always make its way back around. Other cultivators in the state have brought this strain into their lineup as well. Another batch of MAC from the cultivator Standard Wellness left an impression on me as well.

Thanks to all those cultivators out there growing quality medicine!
