About Firelands Scientific

Firelands Scientific was a grower as well as a processor very early on in the Ohio program. After becoming the first sale in the state at The Forest in Sandusky, they quickly became known for the concentrates they were producing. Throughout their time in the state, from what I have noticed, they have improved steadily.

In their Huron, Ohio cultivation facility, they grow their cannabis in a greenhouse that is located right beside their dispensary. The Firelands Scientific Dispensary offers a range of products as well as some exclusive products that you can only get at their dispensary.

Every visit to their dispensary, I end up meeting someone new from Firelands Scientific. They are always so nice! It really goes a long way when you are greeted with a smile and thanked for the business. I am sure we will all continue to see them move forward.

Appearance and Aromas

When I opened the jar, a sweet musky OG aroma exposed itself. Strong citrus smells take over once I ground up the flower. The first hit out of my Mighty+ herb vaporizer revealed a smooth chemical-like flavor on the inhale and left a weird musky citrus aftertaste. Orange hairs and trichomes make their presence known when I first examined everything. The buds are a light green color with a fluffy consistency.

Effects

As expected, the effects started with a cerebral head high. Every time I consumed it, it lifted my mood, giving me happy thoughts. Relaxation of my upper body came next with a tingling sensation that eased my pain. I consumed this late in the day as well as the first session of the day and was still able to get things done as well as chill out after a stressful day.

Cannabinoids and Terpenes

The most prevalent cannabinoids in this strain are THC and CBD. THC totals 30.59% and less than 1% CBD as well as some other trace amounts of cannabinoids. The dominant terpenes in this strain are Limonene, Myrcene, Caryophyllene and Linalool. This batch had a high THC percentage, so beginners should approach with caution and take their time when the effects begin to initiate. The strain itself is listed as sativa which suggests daytime use but overdo it with this strain and you very well may lose some motivation.

Packaging and labeling

I absolutely love this jar and the added features it has! The jar itself is glass and stained red. The bottom remains unstained to view the product prior to opening. The lid is childproof and is made of wood with the company name and an eagle engraved into the lid.

The labeling is what won me over. The label has a plethora of information as well as a QR code in which you can scan. (A QR code is a barcode that when scanned with your phone or tablets camera a link will appear.) This will give you a detailed report about that particular batch, as well as general information about the strain like: Lineage, Cannabinoids, Primary Terpenes, and other product information. It also gives a full list of the cannabinoids and terpenes and their total percentages. Check out the Chem OG COA from Firealands Scientific here.

Final Impressions

There is a lot about this strain that I love! The smell, taste, visuals, and effects all have lived up to my expectations. Life can be stressful, and this strain was a great option for helping. I’ll keep my eyes open for more products from them! Thanks for checking out my review!
