This weekend, Medicate OH and Hippie Arts Yard Sale team up for their inaugural Cannabis Health Fair & Hippie Arts Yard Sale. Held at two locations, the event takes place at both Ohio CBD Guy at 2817 Woodburn Ave., and Woodburn Brewing located at 2800 Woodburn Ave., from 2 to 10 p.m.
Presenting sponsors for the Cannabis Health Fair and Hippie Arts Yard Sale are One Heart Medical, Brien Miller Law, and Klutch Cannabis.
To kick off the event, a series of educational talks will be hosted at Ohio CBD Guy beginning at 3:00 p.m. Ohio Medical Marijuana patients, advocates, and caregivers are encouraged to attend to learn about cannabis cultivation, legal rights, and medicating options. Ohioans who are not patients are also encouraged to come learn about how medical marijuana or cannabis may be options in their own or a loved one’s holistic healthcare routine.
Featured Speakers & Performers
Dr. James Weeks of One Heart Medical, Gabrielle Dion Visca of MedicateOH, and Brien Miller of Brien Miller Law will be among the speakers. These individuals and their respective businesses represent some of the progress, transparency, and capabilities of the Ohio MMJ Program. After the speeches (which will be live-streamed), there will be a period of time available for patient testimonials.
Headlining the music portion is Dead Bolt, an acoustic duo featuring the two former guitarists of “Dead Ahead Ohio.” Known as Cleveland’s unparalleled authentic Grateful Dead tribute, the former band existed for 13 years. Now, the pair will debut their latest project “Dead Bolt” at Woodburn Brewing at 8 p.m.
Before Dead Bolt takes the stage, Austin Clark, as well as Steve & Donna Bing & Friends will entertain the crowd with their eclectic sounds. Clark, aka Slim Kid Rushin has played a variety of instruments since he was six years old. With deep roots in gospel, country, rock, pop punk, and jazz, each performance from this musical savant provides an eclectic pallet of inspiring tones and vibrations.
Steve and Donna Bing and Friends, from Houston, Texas, are versatile performers, instrumentalists, and music teachers. Steve plays and teaches fiddle, Cajun accordion, guitar, bass, and mandolin. Donna plays and teaches guitar. Their repertoire includes traditional Appalachian Old Time, Louisiana Cajun, and Western Swing.
Woodburn Brewing will also play host to the Hippie Arts Yard Sale in the beer garden, a variety of cannabis artists and enthusiasts, a tarot reader, consultants, cultivators, and more. The brewery will also offer CBD add-ons to any beer or seltzer, courtesy of Ohio CBD Guy.
